- Astral Spirits -

and I got back together for another openCanvas collab last night. The subject is a spiritual one, as you can see. We didn't know what we were going to draw at first, so while we doodled around a bit until we could come up with an idea...

Lance and I sometimes talk about dreams towards the end of the night, right before we go to bed. Sometimes, we even set goals for our dreams and we believe it's possible to have shared dreams. he wanted to draw something along these lines and proposed this idea to me. I was in an inspirational slump and therefore lept on any cool idea offered. Trouble was, his idea had me laying down in bed in human form, him standing by my bed in anthro, and my spirtit sitting up from my body in anthro form, with him guiding me into a dream. Trouble was... it would look a lil creepy like we'd died or sommat ^^

So, we talked about the idea and to solve the "human" issue, I suggested that we should just draw ourselves as anthro and have our spirit forms be feral. That worked. So, he thought about how to make it look like we weren't dying and he thought, well, instead of laying down, maybe we can be sitting up, like... we were meditating or something?

And, so, that's how this picture was made. That's how the idea evolved and its such a great idea ^^ a pleasure to draw.

I was on a real kick for painting ^^ so i kinda took over and painted the BG spirits and drew + coloured myself etc, he coloured and drew himself.
