Hrrmmh so its finally done.. This is definitely the most time and intricacy iv ever put into a digital painting (let alone a commission!), especially background whise. So its probably my best work to date

This was never meant to be 'realistic' I don't paint that way, even my backgrounds have a touch of my own style to them just like my creatures are not quite realistic in some ways.

This commission actually has a story D: basically when I was on holiday staying in San Diego with *Lance-Foxx and Burrwolf. Basically.. I missed my plane to Vancouver and we were desperately trying to find another way. Burrwolf paid the $50 US on the spot for me to get into another connecting flight that day and said I could treat it as a commission. Told me later the details of his (evilly complex) dragon form with Lance flying on his back over Canadian mountains/forest landscape. He chose that landscape wisely because that would be all I was seeing for the next 2 weeks.

So armed with extreme gratitude and the determination to make this the friggun BEST picture iv ever drawn to thank these guys for all they did for me on holiday...
All I was given for the dragon was some reference pictures of camo-tanks and a very descriptive insight as to his 'bio-armored' look. So basically I had to design him from scratch ^^:; no easy task but myself and Burr are thoroughly pleased with the results.
The background I also made up from scratch composition whise xD but I did reference some of my Canadian photos I took for how the snow on mountains looked or forest colours.

SOYES.. little fox, riding a big dragon, flying over a glacial lake somewhere in canada x3 Worth far far more than what he paid but gratitude is priceless.

Tell me what you think! My favorite part is the left upper corner.. that little chunk of sky and clouds.
