Artist's Comments  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MY POKEMONS LET ME SHOW YOU THEM!!?! Yes.. ever since pokemon were 'big' (the games not the show really) I have been into them and never stopped :} Recently for my b-day my hubby bought me a nintendo DS lite and pokemon diamond cause he knew I was itching to play and had to have some entertainment on the looooooooooong plane ride. This is a picture in homage to... no not my FAVOURITE pokemon, not even my favourite fire pokemon but pretty high up there. NO xD My MALE Rapidash by the name of Fresian single handedly won me the elite four of pokemon diamond. When I beat the champion all I had left was my rapidash with 4hp so he deserves a homage! As I cannot draw a horse looking good at all without a reference I eyeballed [link] for pose and anatomy. However whenever I end up doing that it usually looks so DIFFERENT xD I know a ton of people have used this stock already so my bad for choosing a popular stock image >.< Materials used: Brown inking pen Cream/peach marker Light grey watercolor overshadows watercolor fire. Excellent art! And beautiful colours! -- "Tell me, what is the colour of glass? Once you can tell me that, then you can move on to telling me what colour a mirror is."  Boo-yah! Finally, get to see the epic Rapidash that got you thru the Elite Four! I quite like the way you did the flames, so flowy and that.
I also like the poooose of Rapidash running owo and tis interesting to see Rapidash drawn in your style too! -- Kiriban @ 33,333 & 55,555  Lovley and vibrant. I think a lot of the fire Pokemon are memorable in peoples mind. Espsically the original 150.

I love its pose, like leaping through air. I haven't played Pokemon since school but I remember this one. So when are you gonna do some more horses?  -- The mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work unless it's open  epic, loes especially the shading
-- -oooo---- -oo--oo -oo--oo-- -oo-oo -ooo---- -oo-oo -oo---oo -oo----oo   Gorgeous! You made a Pokemon look like...an actual living creature. I especially like the transition between skin and horn on its forehead, and how the watercolors make the flames look contained, like a mane and tail.

Critiques
This piece is simply captivating with its bright colors and intense feel as Rapidash seems to drift across the page. Its tone is well complemented with a white back drop as a back ground.
Originality
Though you didn't create this Pokemon, that's what fan art is for. As I said previously, he seems to drift across the page with flames at his heels. I have to give it a five there. You also seem to make Rapidash seem like a friend and a foe. A friend to those who are of kind nature yet fierce to all foes.
Technique
I hate the fact that I repeat myself a lot from others as they leak into one another. It shows great art. The brilliant tone changes and flame properties give this work a feels of stability and unique creativeness.
Impact
This leaves my with the feeling of wanting to play Pokemon rofl. But in all seriousness, you have 'recreated' or 'redefined' this Pokemon as a mystical horse of great power. You gave it more depth and feel then the cartoon or cards in my view.
You have done it again Cunningfox!
