SO YOU WANT SOME FREE HOLLY ARTS? IM SURE YOU DO (because I get enough damn people requesting it *grumblebitchgrumble*)

As you may or may not know I am fond of holding contests where there is a major design element AKA not asking you to draw my original characters because thats just a blatant way to get gift art. I love incorporating some element of mine with something of yours so it is still fun to do for you and I still enjoy seeing the entries! Which brings me to:

What is the contest?

Draw your original character as a Sylphoid

Thats right -your- character design as my species. It dosn't have to be your fursona just any character you have that you like the design of or you think would look interesting as a sylphoid. However you need to have an Original character to enter this because I will need an original comparison, so you might have to make that before you can enter.
Your character can be a feline or a horse or a five toed alien thing with 6 heads it dosn't matter just turn it into a Sylphoid!

When I say turn it into a sylphoid I don't mean make it half your character half sylphoid (like a lovechild or something) just change the species. If your OC has wings you don't have to remove them or you can make them markings instead. Same goes for markings/fur pattern/tribals/spikes/accessories whatever you might have aslong as it isn't a huge anatomy change it should carry over to the new species.

Requirements for entry

-It can be in any visual medium (sorry story writers, maybe next time?) including photomanipulation.

-Your entry must atleast have the character itself be colored, you can't just submit a lineart or sketch, even if its flat and basic there must be color.

-When you submit your entry (via note to me) you must send me a picture/reference of your original character and the entry for comparison and I will put it up in the entries journal.

-You must copy paste the disclaimer about the species (see further below) in the description of your entry to help protect my © of these species.

Important physical aspects of Sylphoids

These things are blatantly there on the sheet but for some reason get accidentally overlooked:

SHORT LEGS, they are like corgi legs but thick with large paws
Their teeth are hooked all down the length of their mouth, not like a regular canines
The main pad of the foot is split (check the sheet bottom left)
The mane down the spine is important for covering up their bony spine
TWO TONED EYES (see the species sheet) the inner color being darker and the outer ring lighter.

Contest judging

The contest will be judged by myself and a few other people who don't enter so it shall remain to be seen who that is ;}
It shall be judged on three categories:

Design integration

~Have you blended your original character's design seamlessly with the sylphoid species?
~What adjustments did you make to them that is different from their usual forms.
~Are they displaying sylphoid activity/acting like one in the picture?
~Is it believable that they are a regular sylphoid?

Artist Impact

~Is it a boring pose or a dynamic one? Does it show off the species design well?
~Does the artist have a good sense of what a sylphoid is aka is the anatomy correct to the species sheet
~Is it well rendered?
~Does the style stand out?

Effort given
This will be determined on a case to hcase basis, the artist's gallery will be looked at and it will be judged in comparison to their own previous works not to other artist's entering. This gives everyone a FAIR shot at it not just who -draws- the best.

~Is there a background? (this is not necessary but will give you extra points if the sylphoid is interacting with it not just floating on it)
~How much effort was put in the coloring?
~How does the level of detail compare to the artist's other works?

So you see there is a potential for alot of people to win something in this contest! I'd be delighted if you want to enter.

However you must understand that this is a one time thing for your character, you can't keep their sylphoid form or use it again out of the contest. I only insist this because I am not allowing the creation of permanent Sylphoid Original characters as it is, im sorry but thats the way it is at the moment but it may change in the future.
